We, the Arcane Collective, are a new generation of artists with our practices focusing on the future of visual arts. Our work conveys ideas that represent a possible future, ranging from futuristic architectural cityscapes, to robotics, to the reflection of the self. Working with a strong aesthetic that reflects the vibrant colours of today’s online presence. A world of screens where everything is portrayed more vibrant than life actually is. Nonetheless that leaves space to dream beyond our physical world and escape into a different concept of how life could be.

We are 6 Minerva students working on a project/exhibition called the Liminality. We explore the different aspects of liminality and how to incorporate this into our art. Liminality is a fascinating concept that has been explored in art for centuries. It refers to the state of being in-between, a threshold between two different states of being. In art, liminality can be expressed in many ways, from the use of transitional spaces or objects to the depiction of characters who are neither fully one thing nor another.
